support technicians. Our regular hours of support are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm excluding holidays. After
hours and Holiday emergency support is available by calling our main phone number and selecting the option for

Support Packages

We offer support several different ways. Of course we have the traditional method of time and materials at our regular
rates but in addition we offer Pre-Paid Support Packages which is the most cost effective way to support your POS
System. Our Pre-Paid Support Packages are available in the following sizes:

  • 5 Hour Package
  • 10 Hour Package
  • 20 Hour Package

Pre-Paid packages give you a very generous discount off our regular rates. Pre-Paid packages do not expire annually  
but rather when you have used the last 15 minutes of time.

Our Virtual Technician Sets a New Standard in Customer Service Our Virtual Technician remote monitoring tool
helps you identify trouble before it happens. It's a 24/7 solution that keeps you informed about your POS system so
that you can in some cases completely prevent downtime!

How does it work? Our Virtual Technician is a total solution for monitoring, alerting and optional remote control. It is
offered as a Software Service solution which requires no additional hardware. End-Users and our Help desk
Technicians have access to the statuses of your system via a dashboard accessed through a web browser. A system’s
status or health is based on the information or heartbeat provided by the VT Software that resides on your point of
sale system. The information that is sent from the agent to the dashboard is done through a secure connection.

If I have Anti-Virus, Spam or Internet security software installed in the POS system can you monitor that
software?
Yes, Virtual Technician can monitor this and other applications to ensure that they are running properly
and doing their job protecting the computer or performing other tasks. In addition, Virtual Technician can monitor the
age of anti-virus definitions and generate a warning for out-of-date definitions.

Can Virtual Technician let me know if my system did not batch my credit cards sales? Yes, in most cases
Virtual Technician will monitor whether your system posted the credit card batch and inform you if it did not.

Does Virtual Technician Inform me of Data Back Failures? Virtual Technician has the ability to check the location
of your backed up data and confirm whether the file has been recently updated or not. If your back up was not
updated Virtual Technician will notify you and our service department.

Does Virtual Technician Perform Data Back Ups? Yes with a soon to be released option Virtual Technician will
perform an automated back up of the data you choose to a secure off-site data center.

How am I contacted when a high priority alert occurs? The Virtual Technician dashboard allows you to configure
filters and the priority of the alerts, as well as how you would like to be notified based on the type and severity of the
alert. Options can include email, text message to a PDA/cell phone or even a specially-formatted message to your help
desk.

What are the security risks at the point of sale system? The Virtual Technician agent that resides at the point of
sale system or server only communicates from the POS/server to our hosted servers via a secure connection. The e
Virtual Technician dashboard is hosted in a world-class data center. All communication is using SSL over standard
internet ports. Thus there are no issues with access through network security firewalls. Because all communication is
initiated from the agent to the hosted server, the risks normally associated with inbound communications do not exist.

will be able to configure and monitor your backups through the Virtual Technician interface.
